Nancy Hermiston, Director of the UBC Opera Ensemble will present students studying and performing opera in the UBC degree programs. Come and enjoy favourites from Puccini's La Boheme, Verdi's La Traviata, Bizet's Carmen. . .  Listen to the blues of Porgy and Bess and laugh with The Merry Widow.

Opera and Arias: Nuit d'amour French Opera Highlights

A delicious assortment of scenes from celebrated French operas including Carmen, Faust, Manon, The Tales of Hoffmann and Lakme. This fully-costumed concert on the BMO Mainstage at Bard on the Beach showcases the gifted young stars of the e UBC Opera Ensemble, directed by Nancy Hermiston; instrumental accompaniment is by members of Vancouver Opera Orchestra, conducted by Leslie Dala.
