Concert Winds

The Concert Winds (MUSC150C) is a challenging, exciting ensemble for both music and non-music majors who perform on either a woodwind, brass or percussion instrument. With approximately 45 - 50 members, Concert Winds is a wind ensemble with performances that take place in the Chan Centre four times per year. Rehearsals are Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 - 8:00 pm, and repertoire is drawn from the standard literature for wind bands.

Approximately half of the students in the Concert Winds are those who performed their instrument through high school but chose another major when moving on to the University. They continue to enjoy playing an instrument, and foster a life-long interest and participation in the art of music.

Non-music majors may perform in the Concert Winds for full credit as an arts elective course, and are encouraged to audition.
