Students of the School of Music perform in many large and small ensembles throughout the academic year. Concerts are held in either the Recital Hall inside the Music Building or at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, which is a 3 minute walk away.

The UBC School of Music offers numerous ensembles that are open to all UBC students, many of which can be taken for elective credit.
Play an instrument in Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Concert Winds, Symphony Orchestra, or one of two Jazz Ensembles. Sing in Choral Union, University Singers, or Chamber Choir. Or participate in one of many chamber ensembles---everything from Trombone Choir to Balinese Gamelan!
Auditions are held during the first week of classes at the beginning of each academic year. Excerpts are be posted below as links to downloadable pdfs. Sign up sheets will be posted by the reception office of the Music Building by the last week of August.
Auditions take place each fall and are open to all UBC students. Non-music students may earn course credits by performing in these ensembles.
