Former member of the St. Louis, Toronto and Boston Symphony Orchestras, Nancy DiNovo has served as guest concertmaster of the Victoria, Edmonton, and Kitchener-Waterloo Symphonies as well as Pacific Opera Victoria and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Her interest in period instrument performance led to her appointment as founding concertmaster of the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra.

As a solo artist she has toured with the Victoria Symphony playing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto, debuted the Kurt Weill, Concerto for Violin in Victoria and at the Banff Festival, and premiered works written especially for her.

DiNovo has taught at Tanglewood, the Marrowstone Festival, and the University of Victoria. She is currently on UBC’s violin faculty and performs regularly with the Vancouver Symphony.
