As solo recitalist, chamber musician, and teacher, Miranda Wong is equally at home in the music of the traditional classical repertoire as well as in the esoteric complexities of the contemporary idiom.

Currently, she performs in the chamber ensemble, Aventa, a group renowned for its vision and innovative programming in the contemporary music scene. Performances across North America, including the Montreal New Music Festival, constitute forerunners to future projects in Europe. 2009 will also see Ms. Wong and her colleagues in the world-premier performance of the newly commissioned Trio for Horn, Violin, and Piano by the eminent British composer, Peter Maxwell Davies.

Her solo career has taken her across Canada, the United States, and England. She has also performed on many occasions for the microphones of CBC radio.

Miranda Wong received her training from Leonard Shure, Leon Fleisher, Robin Wood, Ellen Mack, and Berl Senofsky. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Victoria (Victoria, British Columbia), the Piano Performance Certificate from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (London, England), and the Master of Music degree from Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, MD).
