Helen Chen Lee, a lyric spinto soprano, graduated from the Universitat fur Musik und darstellende Kunst in Wien, Vienna, Austria. She started her professional Career with a recital debut in the New York’s Carnegie Recital Hall and a subsequent series of opera activities in association with The Metropolitan Opera Studio in New York and The Geneva Opera Centre in Switzerland.
 
Helen Chen Lee participated in many international cultural activities including being an invited performer at The Asia Olympic Games in Beijing and The International Music Festival of Macau.

She is active giving vocal music master classes in Asia, Europe and Australia. She has been on the UBC voice teaching faculty since 2002 and is currently also coordinating academic exchanges between The UBC School of Music and major music institutes in China.
